Accomplished cyber and national security executive tapped to lead CISO community platform

New York, NY, February 14, 2022CyberRisk Alliance (“CRA”), a fast-growing business intelligence company serving the cybersecurity community, today announced Parham Eftekhari has been named
Executive Vice President to lead its CISO Collaboration Platform which consists of the Cybersecurity
Collaborative and Cybersecurity Collaboration Forum.

Eftekhari has more than 15 years of experience in technology and currently serves as the chairman of the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology (ICIT), the nation's leading cybersecurity think tank, which he founded in 2014. He previously served as the co-founder and Vice President of Research at the Government Technology Research Alliance, creator of the world’s first webcam cover distributor, and is currently an Advisory Board member at the Ready Rock Institute, a non-profit focused on STEM and entrepreneurship education for underrepresented youth. Eftekhari has developed and authored multiple research publications including "Securing the Nation's Critical Infrastructures" set to publish later this year, regularly engages with the media, and has addressed forums ranging from Congress, TED, RSA, and C-SPAN. In 2017, Eftekhari was recognized by (ISC)2 for his contributions to the cybersecurity field with the Most Valuable Industry Partner - Government Information Security Leadership Award.

In this newly created role, Eftekhari will continue to lead the Cybersecurity Collaborative, a membership service for cybersecurity leaders and their teams, and his responsibilities will be expanded to include leadership of the Cybersecurity Collaboration Forum, an invitation-only community of cyber executives dedicated to peer-driven collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technology education.

“Parham quickly built the Collaborative into a powerful and influential group because he understands the challenges facing the CISO community and the resources they need. Parham brings a deep understanding, the ability to shape content into rewarding educational programs, and the power to connect people to this new role. The Forum is a rapidly growing CISO community that’s generating tremendous energy and engagement, and we’re excited to see the results of bringing the two groups together under Parham’s inspiring leadership,” commented John Whelan, President at CRA.

"Empowering current and future cybersecurity leaders is paramount to our national security. The active participation of our nation's top CISOs, along with the full support of CRA's broad resources, provides the CISO Collaboration Platform with rich and valuable technology education, strategic tools, and leadership solutions for the executive development of the CISO community," said Eftekhari.
